Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: as meredith brooks would say, she's "a little bit of everything all rolled into one." (which is just a nice way of saying she's a bitch, if you're too young to catch that one. it was a very popular song in 1997.) selina is complex, ever-changing, and as a thief, you can never be quite sure what is truly genuine and what is part of the con. she is every bit of the cool, sexy, feline fatale as her reputation as one of the world's greatest thieves and ultra-sleek catsuit would suggest, but she's also a big sad weirdo who once saw another big sad weirdo running through the streets dressed as a bat because of untreated childhood trauma and was like, "i just had the greatest idea."
Character goals? honestly, i just want to torture her a little. selina's not really a people-person and portrays herself, largely, as selfish and self-serving. she is a villain who is not really a villain but refuses to see herself as a hero and what i want most is to allow her the growth that canon simply won't give her.

Tell us about yourself: i'm p much everything you expect a Catwoman Main to be, except i'm from southern california and consider the early seasons of the simpsons and 1995 movie clueless to be my most formative influences. i have a lot of cats. i went to school for fashion design, so that's a thing i'll probably bring up far too often for it to not be awkward.

Elenore is what happens when a character who was destined to either become a comics-style super scientist or a horror-style mad scientist hits an event that kills their ambition. She has a painfully brilliant mind that would have been capable of significantly impacting her homeworld with her discoveries and inventions. After suffering a traumatic event with a mentor gone rogue, all she really wants to do is have her own very controlled space and to use her ability to clean up the messes left by science run amok. She likes people but doesn't particularly care about being overly nice to them, and is generally emotionally reserved. In her spare time, she rescues literal lab rats and does strange experiments with plants but makes sure to keep the scale small to manage the risk.

Jennifer was one of the biggest superheroes in the world, working for almost all of the big name super teams at some point, enjoying her fame, functioning as a well-regarded and very successful attorney. Basically she was generally living as vibrant and enjoyable a life as is possible while still living openly as a superhero and green giant. Then she was taken out by friendly fire in an event that killed a friend and altered her abilities significantly. Compounding her trauma was waking to find out another friend had killed her beloved cousin and the trial acquitted him. She is emotionally raw, barely in control of her abilities, and actively avoiding the other heroes she used to love.

Character goals?
-Elenore needs to form relationships and regain some sense of choosing her own path in addition to cleaning up other people's messes. She has strength and power she needs to recognize and own.
-Jennifer needs to mourn her loss, gain some emotional center, find peace with her abilities, and re-build connections.

Tell us about yourself:
Um, I'm a massive nerd? I spend my working hours teaching teenagers about biology and basic physics/chemistry. The children are both amazing and terrible, and one of the main reasons mostly love my job. There are enough Jurrasic Park shirts in my wardrobe that one of my colleagues gets worried if don't wear one once a week. I live and die by a weird variety of podcasts and rotating obsessions. I love animals, horror, art, mythology, bones, and my weird dogs. The list of monsters I have not wanted to pet is short. I miss when I was better at reading regularly. I'm really excited to explore and build this world with you guys.

Character(s): Matt Murdock of the Marvel 616 variety
Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: Matt Murdock is the son of a boxer and a nun. Postpartum depression led his mother to abandon their family when Matt was still an infant, and his father raised him to be studious and passive. As a young kid, he rescued a man from being hit by a car, but was splashed with radioactive chemicals that both blinded him and heightened the rest of his senses to superhuman levels. He trained under a literal ninja who taught him to control his abilities, and went to law school. While Matt was in college, his father refused to throw a boxing match because he wanted to get money for his son's studies. He was murdered as a result, and the killers never came to justice. As a result, Matt created his Daredevil persona to avenge his father's death. He graduated summa cum laude from Harvard Law and went into practice as an attorney with his BFF Foggy Nelson, but kept the Daredevil persona to bring vigilante justice to Hell's Kitchen by night.
Character goals? SPOILERS FOR CURRENT DD CANON: In Zdarsky's current run, Matt has recently committed A Murder. He ultimately chooses to plead guilty and serve his sentence in prison after negotiating the terms that he can do so masked as Daredevil. I'm actually taking his entry point from the courtroom, immediately before he makes the decision to enter the guilty plea, because that seems like some fun torture. I'm definitely looking forward to exploring where he can go from here and if a path of genuine redemption is even possible for this justice addict.

Tell us about yourself: I'm a thirtysomething who hails from the Midwestern United States where I work in the nonprofit sector. I really fell hard in love with pottery at the beginning of the pandemic, and have been continuing with (safe and socially distant) ceramics classes for the last year now. I used to have this goal of going to at least one place entirely new to me every year, but... gestures at the world. I am Deaf and a hearing aid user. I'm also the living definition of 15 minutes late with Starbucks.

Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: bruce is a(n) (ex)-billionaire in his forties with dead parents and a furry fetish. he's kind of a big deal, despite being kind of an asshole to the people around him, if only because being an avatar of justice is easier than discussing your problems and being a good father. from his canon point he's currently "dead," both batman and bruce wayne, and is working underground to save his city from a group of supposed peacekeepers called the magistrate.
Character goals? bruceman needs to work with other people and form relationships. he's never been a people person, but at the moment he's currently a walking dead man posing as a fucking graphic designer named jeff whose only friend is a conspiracy theorist (who he totally believes).

Tell us about yourself: real name is steve. I'm a 36 year old nerd from pa, living with my wife and cute dog, princess leia corgana. i went to school for game art and design, but haven't really drawn much in the past couple of years. i like reading, but have taken to audiobooks and podcasts recently. i'm a big comics and horror fan, much to my own dismay, and an even bigger batman fan, much to my greater dismay. my character types are old sad dudes, because i'm a cis straight white guy who read year one when he was 14 and never really got over it. despite all the aforementioned warning signs, i'd like to think i'm pretty friendly, so feel free to friend me and let's chat!

Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: Loki is someone who got lost from a CW show and landed himself in the mcu. His dad(s) didn't love him enough, he took it Personally and kept fucking things up ever since until his big sister appeared and was even Worse than he was, which he also took Personally and decided to change his ways and work at being a marginally less terrible person.

Then the russos Thanos killed him, so he's at the kanye shrug point of his life.

Character goals? Before his goals were to go to Earth, rebuild Asgard and maybe even make himself an equal to Thor, standing side by side. Now that's completely fallen to pieces, Loki doesn't really know what to make of himself. So I'm really looking forward to Loki rebuilding himself from the ground up, without the reflections of the past to hamper him overly but to also address his issues so that he can make an honest move forward.

Tagging habits? I tend to prefer slower and lengthier to quick and boomerang, if only because my schedule doesn't allow me to sit and boomerang much. However, I'm a college prof, so my schedule is a bit more sporadic and allows me free time at random points, so I can't say any specific day is better than any other. It changes with class schedules and the ebb and flow of the grading.

Character(s): Deadpool
Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: Troll. Chaos. Insane, but with a much more razor sharp focus than you might expect sometimes. It is no secret that he is mentally ill, but where most go wrong is in thinking his mental illness his zany psychotic behavior. That's just a manic front. On the inside, he's...complicated. Depressed. Desperate for connection, but unable to believe in it. Desperate for something real, but again...unable to believe in it.

But don't worry. He won't be writing any emo poetry any time soon. That's not his style. (Unless he's trying to outdo the Raging Cajung in which case all bets are off.)

Character goals? To troll all the characters whose players want to be trolled, and explore the connections he might make in the process. I really enjoy seeing how Deadpool's connections formed through bothering people evolve. His growth is always reset in comics because as a character, he is fundamentally bad at it. In RP, he gets to hold onto a bit more. The tension between that growth and holding onto everything I love about the character is an interesting one to explore.

Also, he sees himself as a test for the other characters here. This isn't about HIS growth, but about him being a tool for OTHERS growth. He may find himself to be wrong in that, and grow despite himself. It will be the most wonderful shock when/if that happens without him even realizing it.

Tell us about yourself: I'm a Communication Professor who specializes in and loves Rhetorical Theory. I'm also a Marvel Zombie from a young age, but one who loves looking from the outside in on DC stuff. I tend to read and watch the Marvels and just watch the DCs. But when I say "just", I do mean I was current on all of the CW DC stuff until this past year. That is an Undertaking (Arrow rimshot). I'm also a massive reader of fantasy and sci fi things and will happily take any suggestions you may have and offer up my own. First on the list? Check out the Grishaverse stuff by Leigh Bardugo and then watch yourself some of the new Netflix show Shadow and Bone. Or vice versa. I also love video games. I didn't provide my Discord info, but if we become Discord buddies at any point you'll likely see me playing stuff a lot.

Character goals? Harley Quinn doesn’t have goals. She has obstacles she likes to obliterate. Also she’s a ginormous pain in the ass and likes to see how long people can tolerate her before telling her to get lost.

I mean, I feel cats is the obvious answer, but probably too basic. They would probably also retort that they aren't the ones who made a horrific uncanny valley movie about anthropomorphized versions of themselves. Touché, cats, touché.

Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: He's just an incel. (edit: ASLKDJF NO ... I CAN EXPLAIN IT'S NOT THAT SIMPLE LAKSDJF)

At first glance, Simon seems like your typical, casual teenager, complete with an arsenal of lame jokes and even a casual and friendly demeanor, if a tad nerdy. In fact, he may even seem soft and unthreatening, the kind of guy you can both put your trust into but also forget about at a moment's notice.

Dig a little deeper and you will learn that Simon is actually an extremely selfish little prick with a thirst for violence and vengeance, someone who's childhood of trauma and neglect on the Eldritchian horror vehicle known as the Infinity Train has left him with a mountain of unaddressed emotional scars that have never quite healed properly. Even worse, Simon boarded the train at a time where another passenger had hijacked the controls, so while he will boast about his number being high and being one of the leaders of the Apex, he's... Actually making his emotional issues worse and worse.

Character goals? Simon's horrifying trajectory in canon, while completely his own fault, could have been easily avoided provided that he had been given some boundaries and some normal and healthy relationships. In fact, the saddest thing I've learned about Simon is that if he really does come to care for someone, he is perfectly capable of being loving, thoughtful, and even very funny. Unfortunately, due to his inferiority complex and abandonment at the age of ten (a time when his number was so low he was very close to leaving the train), he distances himself from his more human side and leans into his thirst for power.

Tell us about yourself: I'm Icki! I am a second year medical student in California who used to be an EMT, healthcare consultant, and someone who did stand-up and sketch comedy on the side! Honestly I sorely miss the comedy bit. I, uh... Try not to take life too seriously because my job demands a Lot from me.

Hawks is the Number Two hero in Japan in a world where everyone has quirks, aka, superpowers. His quirk is his giant red wings, though he can do a lot of stuff with them other than just fly. You can read about that (and him) here. He comes off as lazy or like he doesn't care, he's maybe lackadaisical or easygoing. Underneath that front, he's very smart, very calculating, good at reading people (and pushing their buttons), and cares a whole hell of a lot. Back home, he's a spy and he really hates that. He's great at lying and hates doing it! He wants a world where heroes can fuck off and be lazy because it's just that safe and nothing is happening.
Character goals? To actually open up to others a little, either about his past, but even maybe about his present. (these are my ooc goals for him, absolutely not his own goals; his goals are basically save everyone and go tf home, no emotions involved pls)

Tell us about yourself: I'm a trans/nonbinary autistic actor/singer/voice actor. I love fandom stuff but I'm very quiet about it a lot bc anxiety. She can be very childlike, but also has a darkness in her. She is prone to taking charge and making sure everyone around her knows how absolutely brilliant she is. If Romana was here, she'd tell you the Doctor was actually a pretty mediocre student at the academy, but you can settle for River Song pointing out what an idiot her wife is.

Summarize your character in a paragraph or less: Although not tall and physically strong, Naib is like most Gurkhas, and the rugged terrain has trained their strong physiques and indomitable spirits. Naib used to be a soldier for the East India Company, but because he believed in the idea of ​​equality for human beings, his dislike of war reached its peak and refused to sell for the British. He then became a free mercenary, but he has long since left his bloodthirsty life after retirement. He then found himself brought to a manor where there consists a game of basically cat and mouse. Four survivors have to escape one Hunter, their purpose in each match being to decode 5 ciphers and leave through the gates. Character goals? Naib is the type of person to keep most at arms' length, given his tendency to use himself as a shield for others and always throw himself in terms of sacrifice to protect. He carries a lot and burdens himself with so much that it would be good to see him shoulder the weight with others rather than himself alone. To properly rely on other people and even let them close to him would be a good change.

Disaster teen who is secretly in love with his best friend who he turns into an actual demon/human hybrid to save humanity. Absolutely chaotic. Not actually a teenager, but Satan with amnesia. I'm supposed to try and redeem this loser, seriously? From the canon point I'm plucking him from, he still thinks he actually wants to save humanity but honey, no. No you don't. Rich orphan, but not Batman.

(This canon is an absolute disaster, and while I could go on in a serious manner... Sleeper Satan. Will destroy the world to be with his bae. Just. Yikes. Never go to a party he throws as a tip.)

Character goals?

What gets me is that Ryo, as Satan, does feel grief and regret for his actions... when it's too late to do anything about it. I don't think that he will ever get to the point of being warm and compassionate to everyone he meets but anything would be an improvement over making humans an extinct species. Uh.

Before that moment of clarity Ryo is coolly apathetic to harming a few if it means he gets to help the whole. Obviously, he needs to work on that. Self-reflection. Maybe expanding his social pool out and trusting more than just Akira. Dude seriously put all of his eggs in that basket and it didn't end well. I just want to see what growth can come of these trials.

Tell us about yourself: I'm terribly boring as a human being so I add pizzazz to my life with a roster of disasters. I enjoy a variety of things: art, pretending to have ambition to make art only to tab between twenty pages for no good reason, and Hamilton. Series I've enjoyed in the past: Merlin (BBC), Doctor Who, Firefly, The Good Place, and a variety of animated series like Infinity Train and your standard 90s-early 2000 cartoons. My question obviously comes from my enjoyment of podcasts. If you like deep dives into random topics ranging from history to true crime, might I suggest Time Suck with Dan Cummings? (Lil' crude but wholly enjoyable) I spend too much time on TikTok instead of sleeping like any other millennial in denial.

Mary Shelley's Mad Scientist, only much younger and British. Victor is a doctor from the tail end of the Victorian era (1890). He has made not one but three "monsters" in his attic. He has been known to quote Romantic Poets and snark at cowboys.
Character goals? Make new friends, but not like that. Honestly, I'm just forever salty that like every other show I've loved, it was cancelled. Victor really gets no sort of closure and I reject his ending in the sequel comics. He deserves better than that. I really like the thought of giving him a chance to grow past his youthful egotism and do something with his life.

Tell us about yourself: I am a post office worker living in the middle of a bunch of cornfields. I went to college and double majored and then went to the Army to pay for my degree. Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: Super 80's justice E-boy Mcgee now with Sasuke syndrome, Akira is a demon/human hybrid that comes in two different flavors: asshole teen and a fucking furry. Akira was able to harness the body of a demon that tried to possess him and use it to fight on the human's side in the great human vs demon war that eventually leads to the apocalypse, loses everyone he cares about along with his faith in humanity in the process. In this game, he'll have a lot of bitterness and be tough to befriend, but deep down, he still is a good guy. If you can deal with his intolerable attitude and stubbornness, he would make a magnificent ally. From his current canon point, he's 18 and oblivious that his Suddenly Satan best friend is in love with him.

Character goals? Make friends again, learn to trust people again, show some vulnerability, knock the toxic masculinity out of him.. he's in a very grey area right now where the CR he makes is crucial for how he develops. He's teetering on villain territory here, but ideally, I'd like for some healthy CR that can hopefully bring him back to his virtuous, kind ways.

Tell us about yourself: I'm an illustration major studying in Nashville and I'm also a hairstylist. I've been cosplaying for over 10 years and doing cosplay photography for about 5 of it. I love cats and coffee and recently I've been teaching myself yoga and meditation. I enjoy chocolate more than anyone else I have ever met and I currently can't stop listening to lo-fi or synthwave. Really into Devilman (obviously), Gintama, Demon Slayer, Evangelion, Infinity Train, The Umbrella Academy and some various obscure anime currently.

Tagging habits? Pretty scattered tbh. My work load really ebbs and flows. Some days I've got nothing but time for tags and other days I don't have time to eat. Logan | Old man yells at cloud.
What I love about this grumpy old samurai cowboy is a lot of his contradictory things. Feral and philosopher. Fighter and lover. Nihilist and idealist. The sinner redeemed by his own misdeeds. That Jean Valjean archetype is very much my favourite angle on all his stories. He's frustratingly aloof so always happy to handwave introductions just to avoid tagging with a lot of one word answers and terse nods.

Quentin | the internet incarnate. These days he's doing a lot better than the internet is thankfully, but this irritating little devil's advocate has a hard time shutting up. Like so many mutants envisioning a brave new world for mutant kind right now, the little brat is currently trying to turn over a new leaf. He's got a ridiculous problem with authority but his desire to impress people means he's likely to do the right thing if it's fun or if it strokes his ego. He also plays pretty fast and loose with his telepathy so please let me know where you stand on tolerating that bullshit before he gets up to no good.

Character goals? I intend on tormenting them both in ways that would likely only be a displeasure to people as damaged as they are. Just being seen and known is a particular kind of misery for Logan. For Quentin, figuring out how to keep his ego propped up without kicking other's out from under them is probably a place to start.

Tell us about yourself: I'm a copywriter by day and a teacher and ceramic artist by night. For a 30something, I spend too much money on comics, too much time listening to podcasts, and too much attention on world weary, self-loathing, loner characters. I have a little dog who's pretty funny looking too.

Character goals? oh boy does he have a lot of shit to work through! most notably being the whole, uh, lying to his brother thing. that's super fun and cool and is going to blow up in his face. the fallout of that will be especially interesting depending on who he might have in his circle to help him. deal with all that. other than that, exploring how removing him from the avery quest for an extended period of time (knowing he's so close to it) affects, you know, who he is as a person.
