Tagging habits? I'm on EST and tend to start tagging around 6-9ish during the week, whenever during the weekend. I'm enjoy both prose or brackets. I often write embarrassing amounts of meta.

Character(s): Nile Freeman
Summarize your character(s) in a paragraph or less: 27-year-old Marine corporal, loves art, recently discovered she can't die. Nile's sincere, empathetic, wants to do right, and nobody's fool. She had a rough time growing up, but also had a supportive community around her and wants to be that for others - service is a big deal for her. She's got a reserved exterior and takes things very seriously, but evidence suggests she CAN have close friendships and have fun, even if the movie doesn't have any time for it.
Character goals? All the things! She's recently cut the chords with all her most precious people, oaths, and ambitions to serve as part of an immortal (tiny) band of soldiers who help people. She kind of didn't have much of a choice, if she wanted to protect her life and the lives of the soldiers who've been doing this for hundreds of years, but she's going to be asking some big 'who am I now' questions. It's be nice for her to form some new friendships and learn to see herself as valuable outside of her role of service.

What is your favorite song right now? I'm currently on a Dermot Kennedy kick that I just can't quit, so here's Lost, which lives rent free in my head at least once a week.
What’s one thing many people hate, but you love? This is going to drive me nuts, because I was just thinking about something like this last week -- and now I can think of nothing.

I'm currently in too deep with David's Tea -- particularly their Cardamom French Toast and Green Tea Passionfruit. Do you have a favorite brand?

Adagio's Fandom teas because I'm a nerd. The Critical Teas by Laura D are great. My favorite is Fjord's which is citrus mint green, vanilla green, and dragon fruit dream.

I have this suspicion that Nile and my Jennifer/She-Hulk might get along.

Hello, fellow teacher! What a year it's been...

I'd be happy to toss Nile and Jennifer at each other! Nile's gonna be a little like o.o at all these people with their powers, since she thought what SHE had going on was weird.

Feels like five, at this point, and we've got 4 more weeks in my district.

Wouldn't be the first time she's dealt with something like that! And still worth it.

Yay, Lacie! I'm glad we'll have a chance to play together too. But, oh my gosh, I'm now picturing Selina's response to Nile and just... shaking my head and laughing because... I don't know if she's going to be dismissive or intrigued... or both, let's be real, both is an option.

i mean, it's definitely going to be both, but who knows how it all might shake out in the end~ i look forward to tossing them at each other :3

yes hi, I am interested in nile freeman cr, since bucky's definitely another military type and also old, sort of, but please talk to me about prydain. (i played eilowny in a game for over a year.)

Eilowny! Wow! Important question: Did she have her bauble? Man, one of my first fantasy books as a wee lass was The Black Cauldron -- it was so sad for me, all that sacrifice, and yet so fascinating.

And yes! I'm interested in Nile and Bucky CR as well. Let's throw them together and see what happens!

She did have her bauble!! The game had a premise of characters getting a specific weapon that would "power up" over the course of the plot, and Eilonwy's was the bauble. Honestly, I'd play her again, but it's hard to find the right game. But there's so many moments from Prydain that were formative to me as a young reader. The sacrifice in the Black Cauldron, part where Taran seeks out the Mirror of Llunet and finds only his own reflection.

Anyway, I'll add you on plurk for plotting, if that's okay!

I really should go back and take a look at them now, there was a lot of really good stuff in those stories.
