Hello hello!

Welcome to 2022! Once again we'd like to thank you guys for continuing to navigate these murky waters with us!

As most of you are probably aware, Polymythos is the first game the mods have ever run and was designed in the hopes of being a super fun chill time. 2021 was a pretty bumpy year overall for most people, and it was no exception behind the scenes.

So! Moving into the new year, we're making a few minor changes that we hope will make things a little simpler. What will those changes be? I'm so glad you asked!

What's changing?

1. Check-in will now be at any point during the month. It's January 3rd and you wanna check in for January? Go for it. As a consequence of this we will be tightening up our sweeps of inactive players. (I'm sure you've noticed we're a little lax there.)

We will be doing a major inactive account sweep at the end of January. On our end that also means we'll be making sure the character directory and all of that good stuff is up to date.

2. Applications will now be permanently open, unless for some reason there's a massive influx of people. Apps will most likely be processed on weekends.

3. Unless you guys are against it, we are planning on having the game entries be made public. The game content is nothing too wild, and it would mean people can see what we're all about a little more easily. If you guys would prefer the entire game remain private, please let us know! You can comment below - comments will be screened.

In-Game Changes

1. Hey, your characters are accumulating some STUFF, huh? Maybe too much to fit in your bag! Well, isn't it awesome that the Ancient has decided to allow some storage space at the Temple! Not much, mind you - you get a locker. And of course, the first month you're on a new island it will be inaccessible.

2. Been wondering how the hell the TDMs fit into the greater game structure? Well, if you choose to count the TDM as canon (we know not everybody does) we're just going to say that every so often the Ferryman will take you over to an adjacent island for a short while if you see him and ask him to. Is this a particularly genius integration? No! But that's it anyway!

3. Another question put to you guys: initially the Scrywatches were designed that no conversations could be privated - is that a mechanic you'd prefer to see junked? Again, answers will be screened!

What's NOT changing?

1. New events will continue to be posted on the first of every month. The TDMS will continue to be posted bi-monthly, on the 15th. (So the next one is this month, and then the next in March.) Typically we aim to post these at 3pm PST but sometimes it will be a touch earlier or later.

2. Still angling for the game to be low stress and fun!

Thanks again, guys, for being such a wonderful player base!
